2008 Dive Season Photo Gallery
November 9th, 2008 - Gilboa Quary, Gilboa, Ohio A group of divers from the Descenders dive club headed down to Gilboa Quarry for a few late season dives.  There are a few pictures from the dives.  Also check out the video gallery as there is a video posted of the entire dive.
September 28th, 2008 - Higgins Lake, Roscommon, Michigan My buddy Scott and I took a drive up to Higgins Lake to do a couple dives.  Scott had previously dove here before and knew were the best shore diving spot was.  It was amazing how clear the water was.  Only negative about this dive location is that there is a long shallow walk out from shore before you get to water deep enough to dive in.  Also, there is a good amount of boat and personal watercraft traffic in the summer.  Make sure you have a dive flag and are caution on surfacing.
August 2008 - St. Clair River, Port Huron, Michigan This was a dive with Descenders Dive Club.  I was working on my Advanced Open Water certification with Dave from The Divers Den out of Lake Orion, Michigan.  We did three dives.  The first dive was a drift dive from Lakeside park down into the mouth of the river under the Blue Water Bridge.  The second dive was out to the wreck of the M.E. Tremble.  The third and final dive was a leisure dive along the seawall.
June 22nd, 2008 - Thelma Spencer Park, Rochester Hills, Michigan This was the final day of my  open water checkout dives with U.S. Scuba out of Rochester Hills, Michigan.  It was a beautiful day.  However it was really too HOT for wear a full 7mm suit with hood and gloves.  This is also one of the few times I dove with a snorkle!  :o)
