As we search, discover, and investigate shipwrecks in the Great Lakes we often share those findings through published documentaries. If you are interested in the Michigan Diver team presenting at your next event, please let us know!
In this documentary the team explore a group of shipwrecks located in and around the Thumb Area Bottomland Preserve. We explore the twin car ferries, the schooner Emma Nielson, the wooden steamer Metropole, the schooner Hunter Savidge, and the salvage tug E.P. Dorr.
In the documentary Flashback - A Fresh Look and Some Treasures from the Past!, we explore the artifact filled schooner Arcturus, the steamer Iron Chief, and the tug Fred Lee.
The Great Storm of 1913 inflicted havoc across the Great Lakes. Ships working the lakes those fatefull days were in a struggle of life and death. Even to this day, the stories behind those struggles are still being learned as new evidence is found. Join us as we investigate the shipwreck Argus and the John McGean and possibly re-write the history books on their final moments.
Even today, discoveries are found in the most unlikely of locations. We explore the remains of a sailing vessel that closely resembles the designs of a traditional Mackinaw boat. While we document this wreck we also stumble across the remains of another sailing vessel we believe to be the Crispin. Then we head off shore and tell the lost fatefully story of the schooner Artic and uncover the disaster that sent her to the bottom of Lake Huron. Then we explore the amazingly preserved remains of the A. E. Everett that saw its demise with her hull being crushed by winter ice.
